This past week has been the busiest week ever in my college year. Last week, I have a lot of homework’s and tests. I am behind with all my homework’s and needs to catch up. For some reason, I don’t understand why Professors like to give tests at the same time. Sometime, I feel like they all plan this out so they can mess with students.
Last week at the Heritage Lowman Home, I heard that the kickoff party was awesome. One of my buddies told me that the seniors were exciting that the TSTM students were there. A lot of students show up and there were some treats. I miss out the excited day and maybe I will show up for the next kickoff party.

I completely understand. I had the same problem with my 447 class and my 344 class. My professor in my 447 class decided it was a good idea to change the original quiz date to a Tuesday, which just so happen to be the same date that I had a test in my 344 class. I think it's a conspiracy.
ReplyDeleteI actually went to the kickoff and it was boring. It was pretty much done by the time I got there (I arrived five minutes after three). The only thing I saw that was beneficial to being there is that you got to see who signed up for your training session.
I agree whole heartedly with the test/quiz stuff. It's not only that to me but it seems to me that most if not all of my professors this semester are either not prepared, or trying to do to much. Every class that I am in has had to change its course schedule multiple times and some even its SYLLABUS to accomidate things. I have had a few professors that were like this in the past, but it is very taxing trying to remember due dates for assignments without it changing every week. On top of that, the flu is going around and adding to this mess. And on the final point of my rant, am I the only one that feels like each professor acts like you are only taking their class and that you don't have 3 or 4 other classes work of work to complete? I will end with the fact that I am very disappointed with the way this semester is shaping up.
ReplyDeleteThe kickoff party was not that bad. Free food, extra credit and a day off from class. You can't beat that. Sure its way out there but at least it was not during the late afternoon rush hour. I met some of the residents and my group (Volgistics) had three people sign up for it. The residents were fighting over them spots let me tell you lol. Nah but seriously, we will probably have more people walk into the training session. The same thing happened in TSTM 444 and the room was packed then.
ReplyDeleteI think the main reason we had such a low interest was that the residents in attendance probably did not know what Volgistics is. When I first heard of it, I was clueless as to what it meant.
I agree about the tests. It always seems that professors are ganging up on you especially near breaks. Only three more days and I finally be able to sleep in a little and have a home cooked meal. The bright side is that the semester is halfway over, so I'm sure if we all keep our heads up we will make it through.
